Well folks, it's finished, last winter a dear friend of mine agreed to film a time-lapse video of me drawing some original art... she is one of the most patient people I've ever met as it took a little over 4 hours to film...

but we did it! my favorite parts are the ones where you can see the big red mark on my left arm.

    I feel it has been a while since I've posted stuff... the good stuff... the stuff that's too big to fit in my scanner. I gotta get down to kinko's pretty soon. But I should be able to post some crappy animations I've done so far.

    Just finished my humiliating finals for this Fall semester and I found out I have to stay here for yet ANOTHER year... gotta put a portfolio together before I can get outta this place. Hopefully I can save enough up to by a car by new years, I'm planning on going on something of a walkabout this summer, I wanna do something fun since I had to forfeit two summers for the sake of work and other goals.

Until then I gotta play the fifth, maybe even sixth wheel for yet another Christmas and new years since all the women in town are going home for the holidays. Not that anyone cares.

Anyway, Merry Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Winter Solstice DA!

Well I just had another birthday, the most incredible halloween b-day bash where I dressed as a classy Jack Skellington, my brother and his wife dressed as Gomez and Morticia Addams. We had games, costume contests and a lot of food and decorations to go around...
My only beef is that my closest friends who I invited didn't show up and there were no girls at the party who were legal and weren't related to me.

Halloween I dressed as Jack again for my job, I lost the costume contest but I got to entertain the kids, I felt like a face character at Disneyland... but the smaller kids were so afraid of me they hid under the tables!

I'm heading to the Burtonshow at the Rothick Art Haus this weekend, payback for my parents dragging me to those boring wine tastings the last few years.

Okay... I just found out the following things

I have senioritis: I am still taking courses in college long after I got my degree so there is less pressure and less incentive to overachieve.

I have wanderlust: I have had this for several years, the desire to travel to far away places and broaden my horizons... and everyday I reflect on how I'm stuck in this place. When people and tourists tell you that your home is a "paradise" you just want to make sure right? I really need to buy a car soon.

I am experiencing a quarter-life crisis: Life kinda feels like it's at a standstill. My transition into adulthood is taking a lot longer than I thought it would. A lot of things I've done in the last year (drivers license, getting a job) I should have done when I was 16. I'm still single, I have ZERO friends, I still live at home with "the bosses", I know it's a phase but it's a suckish phase.

Not that anyone cares.

Thank god summer is over, now I can marvel at the shapes of my breath, rock my peacoat, design haunted houses, and my b-day isn't that far away.

This year I'm helping design a haunted house at my job, I'm going to incorporate urban legends and even creepypasta themes into the design, I've also been approved to building a life-size Slenderman puppet that can be animated by puppeteers and scare the kids with! I'll be going as Jack Skellington as well.

But what sucks is that my family is doing couples costumes for my halloween party and I'm going as Jack without a Sally... or Zero.

In my animation class I've been made a team leader so I get to be in charge of the story we are working on. However... we got the story nobody wanted and I'm the only one who has the most experience in the trade and the one who has taken the class before... and it doesn't help that we are all incredibly quiet and the classroom has the worst acoustics I've ever heard making the enthusiastic teams even louder! I'm up to the challenge, I just hope my team is.
